Care to Change the World
Introduction
Europe Our Society (EUOS) is redefining how we build sustainable and inclusive communities by transforming large multi-purpose properties into thriving social and economic hubs. These properties—ranging from business hubs and vocational training centers to hotels, restaurants, historical buildings, farms, and housing for up to 1,500 people—function as mini-cities, showcasing the future of equal, circular, and socially sustainable development.
At the core of EUOS is the ECHO platform, ensuring efficient management while enabling real-time comparisons between urban and rural developments. By leveraging the EUSL Business Network, EUOS integrates education and vocational training programs designed by its members, ensuring that these spaces do more than just exist—they come alive with purpose, innovation, and economic opportunity.
This initiative is more than an infrastructure project; it is a living showroom for Charity as a Business, demonstrating how private-sector solutions can complement or even rival traditional welfare systems. The journey began in Sweden, but with 27 countries ahead, EUOS is set to redefine Europe’s societal and economic landscape—one sustainable community at a time.
Components: Business
The first critical component of EUOS focuses on the daily operations and maintenance of multi-purpose properties. These properties are designed to be self-sustaining, offering a range of services that contribute to both the local economy and the surrounding communities. Hotels and restaurants become community hubs, providing accommodation, food, and social spaces. Service providers like handymen, gardeners, and facility managers are integral to the upkeep of the properties, ensuring a seamless and sustainable operation. By involving local businesses and entrepreneurs in these roles, EUOS helps create a vibrant ecosystem of services, ensuring that the multi-purpose sites not only thrive but become beacons of sustainable business practices. With all available concepts from Charity as a Business implemented, its a certain way to show that charity can drive business.
Component: Education
Education is the second component and EUOS is built on the belief that a new, relevant workforce is essential to driving sustainable societal change. Through running our own local educational institution and hosting our own vocational training programs with tailored courses designed by our members, EUOS is creating a future-ready workforce that meets the specific needs of our multi-purpose sites. This educational infrastructure equips individuals with the skills required to thrive in industries such as green technology, hospitality, construction, and urban farming. By fostering lifelong learning and empowering individuals, EUOS ensures that every community benefits from highly skilled, adaptable, and resilient talent.
Component: ECHO
The third component of EUOS is the ECHO platform, an integrated system designed to manage the generation, storage, and efficient use of energy and water across all multi-purpose properties. ECHO harnesses renewable energy sources—solar, wind, and other sustainable technologies—while storing energy for efficient use, reducing dependence on external power grids. Similarly, water management solutions ensure that water resources are used responsibly, stored, and recycled within the system, supporting both eco-friendly living and long-term sustainability. ECHO creates a self-sustaining energy and water ecosystem that powers the properties, supports daily life, and demonstrates the practicality of circular economy principles in real-world settings.
Our Society: Countries
EUOS is committed to expanding its impact across Europe, beginning with the Baltic Sea region and progressively spreading to other parts of the continent. Currently, we have five large multi-purpose properties in Sweden, each designed to serve as a sustainable, circular model for urban development. These properties are not just buildings; they are thriving, self-sustaining ecosystems that blend education, business, and community living in harmony.
Over the next decade, our goal is to extend this model to at least three new multi-purpose properties in each EU country and Norway, building a network of connected hubs that foster social sustainability, green living, and economic mobility. As we expand, we are focused on creating regional hubs around the Baltic Sea, utilizing the strategic location to connect and support neighboring countries with similar values and goals.
By rolling out in key regions, EUOS will develop a comprehensive and scalable model that can be replicated across Europe. This approach not only advances sustainable living but also empowers local economies, creates jobs, and supports the ongoing transformation toward a more inclusive and socially responsible society.
The sister project: Our Europe
Our Europe is a vital sister project to Europe Our Society (EUOS), designed to complement and support the current European welfare system while pushing it toward a more equitable, modern, and sustainable future. While EUOS focuses on building self-sustaining, multi-purpose properties that redefine urban development through Charity as a Business principles, Our Europe works within the existing framework, advocating for a more inclusive and balanced system that engages the private sector and cooperative models for long-term social impact.
Where EUOS introduces a new paradigm for community living and business hubs, Our Europe strengthens and transforms the current welfare landscape by integrating cooperative-driven solutions. Through initiatives like the Cooperative Employers Union (CEU) and the Cooperative Union for Workers & Entrepreneurs (CUWE), Our Europe promotes the idea of economic cooperation and social equity, ensuring that all parts of society benefit, from businesses to workers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. This system empowers businesses and workers to engage in meaningful, sustainable labor models, reducing the strain on tax-funded welfare programs and providing a broader, more inclusive safety net.
In this way, Our Europe isn’t just working within the system—it’s building upon it, using Charity as a Business and innovative business models to create a more resilient and inclusive European society. This approach empowers individuals, communities, and businesses to thrive, contributing to a new welfare ecosystem where private-sector involvement and cooperative models bridge the gaps between social needs and economic opportunities. Through this complementary relationship, Our Europe and EUOS are working hand-in-hand to support the current system while shaping the future of a more inclusive, cooperative, and sustainable Europe.
Other Legacy Projects
Beyond its focus on EUOS is part of a larger global movement dedicated to advancing social equity, sustainable development, and cooperative governance. These efforts are carried forward through several long-term initiatives that shape policy, drive innovation, and foster cross-continental collaboration.
At the heart of these global endeavors is the Global Social Equity Alliance (GSEA), a comprehensive framework that integrates five key components:
-
African Unity 2063 – A large-scale Project Center initiative aligning with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, focusing on economic empowerment, social development, and infrastructure expansion across the continent.
-
Agenda for Social Equity 2074 – A visionary blueprint for the next 50 years, laying the foundation for a more just and inclusive global society, rooted in the principles of sustainability and equity.
-
Council for Global Social Advocacy (CGSA) – A platform for policy development and international advocacy, ensuring that social equity remains at the forefront of global governance discussions.
-
Unity Center of Excellence (UCE) – A research and innovation hub dedicated to solving pressing global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and strategic solutions.
-
Unity Academy Center of Excellence (UACE) – An academic institution fostering higher education, research, and thought leadership in alignment with social and economic progress.
In addition to GSEA, EUSL also drives Power Play initiatives designed to reshape regional cooperation and economic dynamics across multiple continents:
-
Pan-African Power Play – Spanning all Regional Economic Communities (RECs) in Africa, this initiative leverages cooperative strategies to implement GSEA and to enhance trade, infrastructure, and economic resilience.
-
Pan-Asian Power Play – Focused on strengthening regional ties across Asia by fostering cooperative business models, equitable labor markets, and sustainable development policies aligning with GSEA.
-
Pan-American Power Play – A transcontinental strategy aimed at creating a more integrated and inclusive economic landscape across North, Central, and South America aligning with GSEA.
These legacy projects embody a global vision that transcends borders, ensuring that social and economic progress is not limited to Europe but extends to communities worldwide.
